From 27th March until 7th April the OVADA gallery in central Oxford will be showing a selection of works in progress from the Parallel Worlds project.
The exhibition documents participatory processes as part of my research towards the creation of public art works, and some of my proposals will be included in the exhibition.
Other works include glass magic lantern slides with images of contemporary Oxford, a video piece on the “Alternative Bus Tour of Oxford”, photographs of city architecture, and maps exploring how Oxfords’ built environment has changed.
In conjunction with the exhibition, there will be a Magic Lantern Show at the Museum of the History of Science, using lantern slides created by the artist from photographs sent in by local residents and schoolchildren of their favourite buildings and places in the city.
Exhibition opening: Thursday 29th March, 6-8pm
Artists talk: Thursday 5th April (more details soon)
Magic Lantern show: Thursday 29th March, 12.15-1.15pm (limited places, to book please email me)
